SFRA SEEKING WEB DIRECTOR

On behalf of the Executive Committee I wanted to announce that we are currently seeking applications for a new web director, as Katherine Bishop is leaving the position after several years in the post. (And thanks again Katherine!)

The primary duties of the position are maintenance of our existing web footprint (including our social media platforms, our listserv, and our Wild Apricot-hosted site at sfra.org), as well as providing support for registration and payment at the annual conference. While the position is increasingly crucial for our operations, the workload is typically light; moments of most intense work coincidence with moments of high activity in the organization, especially the conference itself.

We are hoping the person who steps into the role will be able to consult with us on upcoming expansions of SFRA's digital footprint, including the addition of remote/virtual formats for conferencing and a planned move of the website off Wild Apricot. We also want to discuss formalizing the web director role a bit more, adding in a specific term of service, and will be looking to the new web director to help shape the new scope of the position for the current moment.

Due to the ongoing need to update our awards, design experience would also be a plus, especially with 3D printing.

If you are interested in serving the organization in this capacity, we thank you, and ask that you please send your CV and a brief summary of your relevant experience to gerrycanavan@gmail.com. If you know someone who might be interested in this, please, let them know...
